Light and lovely, with heel slippage
Great shoes but I needed to loop the laces and tie them extra tight to keep them from eating my socks, which is not normal for my favorite brand. The laces are plenty long enough for this, which is great.

Can't stop, won't stop
I have been running in Altras for about 4 years. I started with the Lone Peaks and have graduated to the Mont Blancs for my up coming 100 mile race. The Mont Blancs are so freaking comfortable!

Disappointed
I was so exited about these. They look great and the grip is amazing! But the shoes are just so uncomfortable. As soon as I put them on in the parking lot before my hike they were uncomfortable. The tongue is so thin and almost too short. But I thought maybe they just needed to be walked in a bit. Less than a mile in and I stopped to do my first adjustment on the lacing. That was the first of several stops ok my only 10 mile hike. No matter how I laced or adjusted them they hurt my feet. At one point I considered taking them off and going barefoot. As soon as I got home I packaged them for return.

Disappointed
These seem to run small while others I have run big.

Didn’t last 100 miles
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I bought these in March. I did about 64 miles in them before this big day. Buddy and I were going on a 36 miles traverse. Nothing technical almost entirely dirt roads. I slipped in mud at mile 20 and the side of the shoe blew. 84 miles. On non-technical terrain.

Great investment!!
Just a very comfortable walking and hiking shoe. I like the thicker sole so not as likely to feel the bumps on the trail.

Great trail shoes.
These shoes were great on the trail. They held up on the gravel really well and in the mud too. I didn't slide at all. They are super Lite weight. And I was able to wash them off the the bathtub with no problems.

Live the show, don't particularly love the durability
I love the Mt Blancs, I really do. Nothing is more comfortable for my feet for running long distances. I recently reached out to customer care, about a rip in my shoes, probably, the 4th rip for as many pairs. All have been replaced under warranty (thank you!). This last pair I reached out 04/02/24. No response except the automated message. I've switched to Topo's, which I think is a shame. I've reached out again today, as a follow up email. I'm disappointed. At least if these shoes haven't lasted, you've responded and replaced them before.

Definitely not the shoes for me
I've rarely needed to break in Altras over the past 8 years, these were just wrong for my feet/body. Immediate blister on my heel (even with heel lock lacing) and odd pains in my calves and the arch and outer aspects of my feet. Gave them a couple runs but they didn't provide any more cushioning than my Lone Peaks (actually were rather stiff). Was really hoping for that same grip but an ease on tired feet. Returned with no issues except disappointment in my search for a shoe to meet all my needs.

Perfect
Nice roomy toe box, cushion is fantastic but doesn't feel heavy. Nice and light feeling on the tread and trails. Stocking up on this design.
