I bought this shoe for a trip
Great shoe from casual walking to hikes and trails

Poor construction
The shoes have started breaking (lace eyelets, multiple points) after only 5 wears and low kms. Poorly constructed upper with poor materials is a big disappointment.

Solid trail shoe!
Have forever used Salomon trail runners. Gave these a shot and so far glad I did. Great fit, comfort, traction. Already considering buying a backup pair.

Just what I needed
It took a couple of days to get them just right, loosening shoestrings and just walking in them. Then the shoe was joy to my feet. I have bad knees and will be getting a knee replacement in a couple of months and these shoes absorb the shock so well. Thank you for these shoes.

Good trail running shoes
Good shoe. I was expecting a bit more wrap around the heel. I feel the ankle is too low and rocks and debris will get in easily.

Amazing shoe with some durability issues
I am on my second pair and it's probably my favorite trail running shoe. I feel confident and comfortable in this shoe on any terrain including technical, steep mountain trails. Traction is excellent. Stability is very good for a shoe with this stack height. Comfort is where this shoe shines. The midsole reminds me of the EVO Speedgoat, just the right balance of cushion and responsiveness. I have high arches and get plenty of support. The only complaint I have is the durability. I got about 280 miles out of my first pair before the upper blew out. I almost didn't buy a second pair because of this, but the shoe is so good in every other way that I had to. Hoping to get more miles out of my second pair.

Comfortable tread, feeling of security on technical terrain, happy to use Merrell. I will soon use them in Skyrunner Orizaba, Ver. Mex

Great fit with one big drawback.
Usual great Merrell fit and comfort along with consistent sizing. One major drawback though is you can't remove the insole, it's glued in place. Tried to carefully remove it but was worried I would damage the shoe or have pieces of the insole still stuck to it so I left it in place. I'll still use them but won't buy again.

Biking in Agility Peak 5's
I am not a hiker/runner, I am 72 years old and do ten four minute miles per day on my bicycle. I have been wearing this particular model for two Months and am beyond pleased with the comfort and stability,
